About

Annie Van Harlingen, born on the British Virgin Island of Tortola, can trace her talent back to a creative and eclectic family. Her mother, a successful boutique owner who launched numerous stores on the surrounding islands, was instrumental in exposing the young artist to treasures, family heirlooms, and vintage clothing. Annie’s love and use of texture and color is reflective of her childhood spent on the islands, surrounded by salvage divers, a strong nautical influence and the colors native to the Caribbean islands.

Annie relocated to NYC, where she worked under the renowned and eccentric designer Betsy Johnson and attended the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT).  Annie was hired by Putumayo, corporately based in Charleston, SC, to design and launch the contemporary clothing collection S.H.A.G. Later she went on to study her passion of gemstones at GIA which lead he into chasing gemstones across the world. While bouncing around Asia, she developed and designed RINGLY wearable tech jewelry. Annie now lives in Charleston and is focused on Van H. Jewelry.
